Oriental Museum

Today we checked out the University of Chicago and U of C's Oriental Institute. And don't let the name confuse you. The museum is dedicated to the cultures of the Near East. But first, we explored a little of the University of Chicago. It's full of great gothic architecture. Nothing like gryphons and gargoyles! :)

This picture is a depiction from the Epic of Gilgamesh, which is a required reading for those of us who took Classics courses (or advanced placement English in HS). :P
