Take me out to the ball game...

This past weekend myself and my bioarch friend visited Toronto. We saw Chinatown, Queen Street, and a Jays game. Sadly, must of the experience was not captured on film as the camera died (grrr, bad batteries). But here's what we did get!










Oh yeah, Toronto is up there on the favorite places list now. :)

Rib Fest and Chalking Festival

The summer festival season is winding down here in Londontown. :( Rib fest is a charitable festival run by the Boys and Girl Club and involves, surprise surprise, lots of ribs. And during the same weekend was the chalking event where art is drawn on the sidewalk with chalk. Absolutely beautiful pieces of art, and those pics, as well as those from Rib fest, are here for you now. Enjoy!

London Pride was also celebrated throughout the month, culminating in a parade and a big party. Here is a sampling of the parade:

London, ON, is a wonderful place to be in July. This is the month when all the different festivals come to the sleepy city and WAKE IT RIGHT UP!!!! Here is a sampling of the pics from some of the various festivals:

Sunfest: A multicultural festival full of concerts, vendors, and carnival food! Hmmm, funnel cakes. :)






Home County Folk Festival: Pretty self explanatory, right?






India Fest: A festival dedicated to the appreciation and celebration of Indian culture.

Overdue...

First off, Happy Independence Day to the USA. And although a little late, it's better than never: Happy Canada Day to those in Canada.

Now that the formalities are done, I do apologize for being delinquent and not posting sooner. The last days in Chicago were hot and sticky and a whirlwind of visits, packing, and jumping onto planes. Then when we arrived back home, it was full of exhaustion, unpacking, visiting, etc. But now that I have some time, I will post the remnants of the Chicago trip:
